Grey Heron Farms

Grey Heron Farms started in 2022, however, our family has been farming on this property in Cary, NC since 1865. Our history included many traditional crops such as sweet potatoes, tobacco, and pumpkins. Now, we are specializing in cut flowers and nursery flowers.

Why the change? Our founder, Zach, was introduced to the wonder of landscape plants during his time at NC State University. When he felt the call to come back to the family farm, he thought cut flowers and nursery flowers would be a great avenue to marry his love of farming and ornamental plants. Now, our goal is always to provide the best locally grown flowers and share this love of plants with the world.
